[ INVOICING : ]

Error type : Error Dos 152 or Error Dos 160 | Problem with the micro printer.

Solution : Close the micro printer for few seconds and open again. If the problem persist, check the printer setting in VOG.
From the main menu, go in Environment / Printer and check the communication port of your printer. You can modify the printer port in line 3 and 5 of the printer setting screen.

Note : If the problem persist, verify the printer port with a technicien or change the printer cable.

Error type : Your invoice number is about to reach 999,999? (For example 001-999456)

Solution : When you print a transaction, you note that the transaction number is almost at 999,999. It should be known that the DOS version of LOB Retailpoint system does not support transaction invoices numbers exceeding 999,999 (1,000,000 and more).
When your invoice number will exceed 999999, your point of sale system will encounter file access problems while in the invoicing, sales reports will not balance any more and several other various problems will occur. This situation is due to the invoicing files denomination which consist of 2 letters ("FA" for invoices and "MD" for previous layaways/credit sales) followed by 6 digits (number of the transaction), therefore 999999 is the maximum number accepted by the system.
To avoid this kind of problem, we advise you to modify your starting invoice number before reaching this limit of 999999.
Please note that modifying your "starting invoice number" can only be done at the beginning of a new day (after "Start a new day", before beginning any new transaction).
Step-by-step procedure:
- After closing your day, from the main menu, go to the Environment menu (<Alt>-"E") and select "Invoicing". Enter password if needed.
- Go to "[4] Miscellaneous management 1" and press <Enter>.
- Using arrow keys, go down to "Starting invoice number…" and type the new invoice number you want, followed by the <Enter> key. Then press the <F1> key twice to go back to the main menu.
